Our story
It started with our son.
A husband and wife in Las Vegas, one very determined mother, and a recipe that took more than a few tries to get right.

Chapter one
The labels we couldn't read.
Our son was one year old, and his skin was having a hard time. We did what you do — went to the store, read the boxes, tried the next thing on the shelf. What we kept finding were bottles with twenty ingredients on the back, half of which we couldn't pronounce, and none of which felt like something we wanted to keep reaching for.
So my wife stopped shopping and started reading. Beef tallow kept coming up — the fat people cooked with for generations, kept in a jar by the stove, and rubbed into their hands without thinking twice about it. She looked up how to render it and made a batch in our kitchen.
The first one wasn't right. Neither was the one after that. Somewhere past those, it came out exactly the way she wanted it — light, clean, and made of things you can say out loud. That's the recipe we still use, and she still makes every jar of it herself.
“If we can't pronounce it, it doesn't go in the jar.”
Chapter two
Then the family got involved.
We passed jars around to family, the way you do. They kept them. But they had one complaint, and they were united on it: it didn't smell like anything.
Fixing that could have taken an afternoon and a bottle of fragrance oil. Instead it took real vanilla beans, and a while longer. It came out better than we expected, and vanilla bean is still the one we reach for in this house.
Lavender flowers and chamomile flowers came next, and both of those batches turned out beautifully, and both are on the shelf now. The first person to actually buy a jar was a family friend, and it was their idea that we should be selling this at all.

The process
Four steps. No shortcuts.
01
One pair of hands
My wife makes every batch herself, start to finish. There is no second shift and no third party.
02
Real ingredients
Vanilla means whole vanilla beans. Lavender means lavender flowers. Nothing arrives in a bottle labeled “fragrance.”
03
Small batches
Made in batches small enough that one person can watch every one of them the whole way through.
04
Made in Las Vegas
Mixed, jarred, labeled, and shipped from our own kitchen in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Our promise
The never list.
Short ingredient lists are easy to keep if you're clear about what stays out. So, in writing:
- Never synthetic fragrance — vanilla means real vanilla beans.
- Never an ingredient we can't say out loud.
- Never white-labeled. If she didn't make it, we don't sell it.
- Never mass-produced, and never in a hurry.
- Never tested on animals.
